Improve upon the ways that you can be a better person, not a perfect person.

Do you feel that Work from Home has started taking a toll on your physical and mental health? Are you suffering from frequent headaches, stress, mood swings & irregular sleep pattern? If yes then these are probably adverse effects of work from home gone wrong! It’s appalling that very few people realize that work from home not only means the fulfilment of professional targets and goals but it also means successfully balancing professional life with physical and mental health in to mark the chakras right for holistic living.

Here are some ways to reduce stress-induced by work from home –

Pick up an old hobby

It’s time to de-stress yourselves by doing what you love the most! If you’re an avid reader, take out your favourite books and give them read, if you love dancing then take a break from work and dance to your favourite tunes, if you have a knack for cooking then create your own recipes, take out that guitar buried in the storeroom and follow your passion! Just make it a point to practice at least one hobby regularly to break the monotony to the series of regular work tasks.

Use a stress ball

Squeezing squishy ball not only serves as an exercise for the muscles around the wrist but also enhances the entire nervous system since all the nerves are connected to one another. It is also widely used by workers in offices as a distraction device to release anxiety and tension. Consider it a way to divert your mind on reflexing the ball than worrying more about the possible things gone wrong at work or home.

Take a shower after work

Staying at home for long hours makes the body lethargic and the mindset lazy! Not taking a shower regularly makes you feel tired all day! Hence make it a point to bathe not only in the morning before starting your work but also after winding up your work as it’ll not only make you feel refreshed but help relax your tensioned mind too! Warm showers are known to relieve muscle tension, enhance blood circulation, release stress & anger & help in falling asleep faster!

Meditate & Workout

Meditation and workout are the only possible ways to escape out of your comfort zone and still eliminate stress. It is rightly said that 'a sound mind lies in a sound body'.Taking out even 10 minutes from the entire day for meditation is like gifting yourself moments of peace away from life distress. It gives you a much-needed boost and eliminates all the toxins from the body! Once you make mediation and workout an integral part of your daily routine, you will surely start witnessing positive changes in your behaviour and life. Above this giving time to yourself in itself is a way to express gratitude to your body to function well and support your daily chores.

Listening to soothing music

The power of music to calm you down and release stress and anxiety is often underestimated. Slow, soothing instrumental music can do wonders to relax your mind and body. Therefore, one may listen to pumping up tracks to feel fresh and happier in the morning and find soothing tracks for peaceful evenings before the sleep.
